  • Engine Alternatives

The '97 Cordoba 1.8 has done nearly 200k and I'm thinking about an engine swap if it's reasonably viable. Does anyone know what else would drop in? A 1.8T or even 1.9tdi maybe?

Both those engines will fit with work. Probably 50-50 as to which would be easiest. 200K isn't big miles for a VW engine really as long as it has been serviced well.

Lots of stuff that would fit. 2L GTI motor, or a VR6?

      As Gavin says
200k is not bad for a VW engine.
