The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Colours available for Ibiza Cupra?

What colours were the 98/99 Ibiza Cupra Sport available in here in Australia?

So far I have seen Red, White, Black and Yellow, but did any make it here in Blue?

There's a few other colours OS such as silver and a really funky green which don't really do it for me, but the blue looks awesome and I'll hunt high and low for one if any exist!!

    Cheers,
    Chris

I reckon the yellow is pretty good too. There's a yellow one at a dealer in Toowoomba at the moment but not keen on it as it's been modded and has an aftermarket, non-airbag steering wheel - how does that work??

Aside from the fact that I'd need to fly up form Melb just to see it, Toowoomba was badly flooded so I don't know if I would trust such a car now!

I heard there was only 4 yellow Cupra`s, but I have seen more than that here and that Toowoomba one makes another one.

It should have a drivers airbag, if it does not, that says to me it has been in an accident and been replaced with one from an earlier car. Or some hoon has replaced it. Technicall illigal, but not many places know about SEATs.

I have a local customer who has a blue Cupra, its the same dark metallic blue as the late Cordobas came in.

His was a special order at the time and I have never seen another that colour.

You could always get a faded one for cheap and get it resprayed.

There were only 54 or so Cupras sold here, so there are not that many left nowadays.

They sold a lot more than that . I think the lowest number Seat model was the second generation Toledos followed by the 16V Toledo . They sold around 200 Cupras here Australia wide .

I thought the number of Cupras imported into Australia was always 52. I have never heard around 200?

Yup, I have heard that number a lot, I think there were 2 special order ones too, making it 54.

Also have seen the import figures and they back this up. Club vee dub did an article on the numbers a while ago and the figures were from Government sources.
