96 Cordoba Window Regulator

This morning I had both front windows down in my 96 Cordoba and when I went to put them back up, the passenger side window decided to only close about half way then stop. It was able to be completely opened again but would only close halfway. The local mechanic reckons the window regulator has packed up. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? And if so, what is the best way to fix it?
