  • SEAT Brake Pads

    G'day,

Just wondering which front brake pads fit on a 95 SEAT Cordoba, I have read somewhere that VW Golf MK3 has equivalent pads, any thoughts??

Highly likely, if your discs are 256mm the pads will be the same as a MK3 Golf GL.

There are different pads depending on whether the discs are vented or not.

You will get the wrong ones unless you are CERTAIN.

Check the front rotors, are they solid or vented.

The pads are the same, but the non vented onew are fatter so as to take up the space and cannot be used with a vented disc.

Not so much the pads as the discs themselves. My wife's 95 Cordys discs are vented so your may very well be.

There is is pic of a vented disc on this page:-
Disc brakes are the most common brakes found on a car's front wheels, and they're often on all four. This is the part of the brake system that does the actual work of stopping the car. Find out all about disc brakes -- even when to replace the pads.

                            Hi mate,

The best street pads for your car would be something like Remsa. Very similar to TRW Lucas, and a great all round performance street pad. Fronts are $89, and rears are $65. Not sure what Super Cheap would stock at it's fairly specific European stuff, and if it's only Ferodo that they can get for the Seat, then look elsewhere, as they're just not worth the dollars.

                            Regards,
                            Greg

Sick of paying too much for performance brake pads? Want high performance with low rotor wear?
