Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • flex pipe popped out ?

So I was leaving work, when all of a sudden the Ibiza sounds like a bloody Mack truck.

The last time I came across this hideous sound was when I was driving down the M5 back home from work 5 years ago and I got scared ****less.

Upon inspection, flex pipe is still attached, and it's not a hole in the muffler either as it is coming from the middle / front of the car. The bonus is when I am taking off there is something fouling the left wheel and is jumping about.

What the hell is it ? Bloody weather not helping me lift the car up.

Thats Mad. Probably broke the exhaust.

It comes from the front of the motor on that car and goes under the engine. Maybe its broken and catching on the steering or the wheel.

I`m in the workshop on Monday if you need parts or help mate.
