2012 A4 Sedan Questions

Hi All, been a while since i have been active due to selling my Dub

The girlfriend has just got her hands on a 2012 A4 (Diesel) and would like to know what the capacity of the gearbox is when refilling with oil. Will Google extensively now but thought i would start here

Will get it down to Elite Euro soon for a full scan as the ASR light in the in the tacho is staying lit and can't be disengaged. Any thoughts on that would also be greatly appreciated

You have said if manual, CVT or DSG? I assume CVT as only a few diesel manuals were sold in Australia and only in the sedan in TDIe guise?

I am curious as to why your girlfriend wishes to change the gearbox oil?

Her parents are panel beaters. The old man has done the gearbox but after him telling me about the process and what happend I wanted to check. Car will go to Elite Euro as soon as it's registered I think just for peace of mind!

Assume it's CVT going with your comments. My noobness thought it was DSG

Ideally, I need VIN, gearbox and engine code. I will plug into elsawin and pull up maintenance schedule. Should be about 8 Litres though for dry fill. The oil is part number is AUDI/VW - G 052 516 A.

Gear box oil at 55000km or 115000. Has it done that much already?


Engine code will be CMEA or similar

Gearbox MMV ? or LLA, LTZ or something.?

Also is it 2.0 tdi or 3.0? The codes will be on the AUDI build plate. Not sure where that is on a newer A4. CVT is also known as multitronic. S-tronic is DSG.

Did they do engine oil as well? And what did they put in it? I sincerely hope that her parents put AUDI/VW certified oils into it.
