Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Audi 90 Quattro 1989 project car for sale

Hi I am selling my Audi 90 Quattro project car (typ 89, B3) which I no longer have an interest in building. Car runs fine and will start no worries every time although is in need of a new battery as I left it connected for a few weeks without turning it on. Doesn't smoke or rattle, hydraulic lifters are fine, making no noise, oil was changed every 5000km. Gearbox is smooth and has a 30% shorter throw in which was bought through 034 motorsport. Clutch still grips no problem. Has aftermarket boss kit and momo steering wheel. Roof material is sagging. Outside of car has minor dents and scratches here and there considering its age. paint is fading on roof and bonnet. Rear tail lights had an at home spray tinting done, it has made the brake lights more faint. Tires are in road worthy condition.

That's the car itself. Now all the parts that come with it are as listed for the purpose of building it up for a track car:

Billet Main Bearing Cap Set Audi I5
Block Coolant Port Adapter, Turbo Coolant
Connecting Rod set, Scat, Forged 144mm I5
Crank Pully Clog, Audi I5 "Super Torque"
Main Bearing Girdle kit, early Audi I5
    Oil Pan Gasket, Audi I5
    Oil Pump, many Audi I5
    Timing Belt kit, 7A/3B
Coolant Nipple for Audi I5 Block
    Windage Tray Audi I5
ARP Head Studs, Audi I5 20-valve
Crank Pulley, Audi I5 20V, Fluidampr SFI Certified
    5 Stud Hub Conversion Hubs
2 Piece AP Racing Disks 300mmX32mm NO HATS
    Porche RS2 Brembo Adapters
Porche Big Black calipers (factory discs from Porche are 304mmX32mm)
A FEW BITS AND PIECES I MAY HAVE ALSO MISSED

Last added bonus, a whole ABY turbo motor with it!
The engine is a rare find in Australia let alone spending money on importing one.... finding an engine with all the add ons including shipping from overseas would set you back $3000AUD minimum.

Looking for $10 000 ono, will not sell desperately unless I can sell everything at once.

Had a lot if interest in the motor, if I can sell the parts and motor together and the car desperate, I'd be willing to part ways like that.
