Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    A3 Sedan - Pricing

    Hi,

    I was about to order a Golf Highline with roof, leather & Driver Assist at $38k drive away but I've had the A3 Sedan brought to my attention. If I went with the Audi I'd be looking at Attraction with standard paint (red) with the Teckniks pack. I've heard that Audi dealers like to play 'ducks & drakes' more than most and not that keen to start a wild goose chase. Any thoughts on getting one for under $42k in Qld?

    I'd be giving away a lot in terms of features but I do like the traditional sedan look.

    Hi Static, 42k sounds reasonable.. I'm pretty sure you can haggle it down close to 42k.

    I got mine A3 Ambition top of the range 1.8 TFSI Sportback, with Daytona grey(1100), S-Line Pack(4200), tecnik pack (3000), and light pack ($400). from 58k down to 47k.

    I will go for an Audi these days. You can see few cut cost in the cabin of golf. The A3 interior feels like 100k+
