      Wow that is quite a price cut (how would you feel if you recently bought the old one)

      So what will that do to the price of the Golf R (and the GTI)
      Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

        I paid a touch over $70K for mine, and that was with a $12K+ discount, haha.

          I'm still struggling to find much in the way of good English video reviews (where the car isn't in a showroom) for this.

          Also we've heard rumours that the new Mk7 Golf GTI should slide in under 40k, albeit with missing optional features

              Lima, that review is in the current edition of Motor Magazine also.

              Overall the A45 offers a bigger bang, but (at least in the Aus market the S3 is $15k cheaper and so its not a directly fair comparison.

              It will be very interesting to see how Audi-Oz pitches the pricing of the RS3 when it is released, as performance-wise that is more comparable to the A45

                how confident are you that the rs3 will even be released here though?

                  Ordered my awaiting delivery in May 2014 red misano metalic paint with S performance package ,Panaromic sunroof , window tint got it for under $70,000
