  • What to look out for when looking for a B5 RS4's

Just wanting to know what things tend to go wrong with the B5 RS4 at say over 100,000ks?
Is there anything I should be looking out for? Are both the Manual and Auto gearboxes as strong as each other?

    Any advice/experiance appreciated

B5 and B7 RS4's only came out in 6 speed Manual. Are you looking at buying one?

Make sure there is a lot documentation that can back up its service history, (not just a stamped log book), also follow this up by chatting to the mechanics/workshops that have worked on the particular car.
I would also get a full pre purchase inspection done on the car to know what work needs to be done etc.
Timing belt will probably be due, possible front rotors and other general maintenance, look out for wear on the cam lobes.

Plan on $10,000 for maintenance (no, not mods, maintenance).

Make sure you understand what owning one of these things involves
