Audio upgrade A3 with Concert

My girlfriend's A3 has a double-din Concert stereo to which I added an aftermarket iPod connector. She's happy to have her own music in the car, but there's no control over tracks played, as the stereo only sees playlists.
I may upgrade the head unit, and have a couple of questions:
What model Audi head unit would have iPod integration ( ability to see track listings on the screen)?
Would a VW head unit such as those in the Golf VI (RCD510) fit?

I went with an alpine set up.

Got full audio control through steering wheels. Also gives me much better choices when it comes to upgrading speakers\amps.
