I for one fail to see the point in keyless start, aka start buttons. There is only one decent one in the market and that is Aston Martin's offerring which requires the key to be inserted into the beautiful crystal button to start the car as you depress it. How is a start button any better than a key? I just find it a tacky add-on that belongs in rice rockets, bogan chariots (Aka FPV) and I think that scourge of a motorsport that is like watching food in a microwave has a lot to answer for because of it. "Oh no, my fat, fried-chicken coated fingers can't grip the key to my f150 to turn it on so I can go enjoy the lie of my cousins...."

If all cars had keyless start and someone came along with the new idea of "the key" then that would be fashionable - lol

But the trouble with that logic is that the old Clio RS (2001-2007-ish) had a plush ride for a small hot hatch. As did the Peugeot 306GTI6 (which i owned) /S16 or the Renault CLio Williams.
For some bizzaar reason all CLio RS200 for Australia are specced the even stiffer Cup Suspension. Makes the car totally unliveable.

Here is something from Ausmotive. Has the option list and all. At first glance, I think it is actually possible to make this a $60k car!!!

Once you have it, it's damn inconvenient when you don't. It's the same as using the key to unlock the door vs having remote unlocking. Wish the Polo had it as an option.

The Audi S3 can be made a $100k+ car.

the A1 has a wider wheelbase than the polo which might allow it to corner slightly better. interior wise, the A1 has better perceived quality. the seatbelts, the steering wheel, the dash, it all has an expensive feel to it.
that said, an equally spec'ed polo gti will be ~ 10k cheaper than this. come resale on the audi, how much of that 10k will be recouped is anybody's guess.
so, for $10k more, you get a couple of things (assuming the gti is spec'ed equally). the Audi badge [if its worth anything], higher cabin quality, a car that isn't as common, slightly more refinement [road noise is less in the audi, more dampening i'm guessing], a car with an origin somewhere in Europe and most importantly, a shorter wait time.MY11 Golf 118TSI - Deep Black Pearl - Beige Leather - MDI - Bluetooth - Sunroof - Park Assist - Alloy Pedals

I went past an audi A1 a few weeks ago, i didn't like it.......
That huge corporate audi grill looks ugly on a such a small car and the rear end looked sad.....
I dont know why you would spend the extra money......
Based on list price alone Audi offers a 1.4 turbo attraction 3 door model for $29,990.....
For $1000 less than that you could have a POLO GTI..........Audi equivalent based on performance is $42,500...
I would take the GTI anyday.........Next: Mk 5 Golf R32 (in blue please)
Now: 2014 Skoda Yeti 90tsi Ambition TECH PACK
Had: 2012 ABARTH 500 esseesse
Had:2010 77tsi DSG7, Comfort Pack, Reflex silver
