Probably has more to do with what sales it would cannibalise, like the sexy Scirocco....

I think the price would be a big issue for Audi. In Europe and UK it does cost about 7k in their currency, or 25% on top of an S3/Golf R. Here they are selling the TTRS, basically same stuff in a nicer shell, for $150k. How much would they ask for an RS3 then? Don't think S3+25% as in Europe would do without killing both S3 and TTRS sales...

        Cheapest A3 $35K

        Most expensive $150K

Basically Audi wisely realised they wouldn't get half the Sales the TTRS is struggling to find atm.

Remember they would be asking double what it costs in Europe. When the MK5 GTI came out here it was cheaper than in Europe!!!

Sorry guys in German and works for me however you can get the jist of it easily if you dont understand (suckers lol)

take into consideration what added bits you get but it doesnt equate to what they are asking.. lsd, bigger brakes, tuned suspension, etc etc.. it is one very quick car.
          What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

ahhh, dont worry folks.... perhaps by the time we get the next iteration of the rs3 onto our shores, instead of being a HATCH BACK that weighs 1610 kgs (according to the uk site), we might hopefully see a juicier model with reversing, cornering and roof cameras, ipad integrated into the dash, bluetooth / wifi / social media buttons on the dashboard, 21 airbags, etc etc etc.... maybe we'll get lucky and get an rs3 "hot hatch" that weighs 1710 kgs next time around, lol.

i ufcking hate the thing. it's a lowered audi q3, with all the mod-cons that you dont give a crap about, whatsoever, when you're driving up over reefton spur, that i've read is so brutally fast and exquisitely engineered that you take your foot off the stop button, press the start button, and you're so well insulated from the kind of sensations that go with driving for fun, you could be doing 150km/h when it really only feels like you're doing 60....

i'd take a renaultsport twingo over this thing, anyday (unless i was allowed to sell it, in which case i would, and get a clio with an rs250 engine conversion. sorted).
