  • Chips for A4 1.8t 2002

    Hey all,

My stepfather just purchased a 2002 A4 1.8t. As I'm more into my old-school mk1's I'm not really up with all the chips etc. I'm just wondering what's out there chip-wise for this car. I'd imagine there would be quite a bit considering how many VW's have this engine too. Anyway without other mods to exhaust or anything could anyone give me a quick heads-up on what are some of the current options available?

    Any help would be appreciated

Thanks, its an auto 110kw standard. Even though its basically the same engine as the polo I guess the chips will be different due to the different weights of the car. I'm trying to get an idea I guess of what power increase is achievable with just a chip, no other mods. I have been seeing some good increases quoted for polo 20v's with just a chip, must be able to get similar increases on the A4.

I do know there is a prob with the auto taking the power.I think if you go to the MTM website it is a option to see what chip you can get.

Isn't the passat and A4 models engines running East/West instead of North/South, or the other way, not sure
