should i get a 1.8T A3??

gday all, ive been lookin for a new car, and im pretty keen on the A3...
I was planing to get another vw golf VR6, but the more i look at the A3 (2door), the more i want one...
do they go much harder than the VR6?
its pretty much a Mk4 golf GTI, right?
And advice guys?

Exactly the same engine as GTI Mk4. A3 has more alloy in construction, so is lighter and 2 door
Nicer to drive than a VR6 and more modern technology.

you will not be dissapointed with an a3, such a nicer more nimble feeling car than its obese cousin the mk4, the fit and finish is that little bit nicer. All the tuning option are the same as a mk4 , so readily available and abundant , and even cheap.

really love my car, cant speak highly enough of it.

I also vote A3! Mostly because we didn't get them here in the states so I'm a bit jealous. But secondly because they are way more fun to work on than the Mk IV since, as stated above, they have a bit nicer fit and finish that the VW cousin.

The A3 will have a higher spec,

Get an A3 1.8T 3 door. I had one with an ecu tune that I did and it hammered and was very good on fuel Econ. Was a great car!

is the suspension on the A3s interchangeable with MK4's? I should have bought one of these instead of my 2.0! Tempted to sell up and get one.

same same, not sure of the exact geometry(axle to axle and so on), but basically most tuner parts are interchangable

Yep just bought one myself, not giving anything away for now , but what i can say is it will be a daily but a wolf in sheeps clothing BELIEVE me.
