I know questions about badge painting has probably done the rounds more than ones about dsg problems but I thought id get an insight specifically from jetta owners since we’re a more sophisticated bunch, what with having a boot n all
less about the painting and more about the visual aesthetics.
Ive had a look at quite a few examples online and thanks to the last meet, quite a few in person and came to some conclusions –
gloss - on the front looks very factory as it blends with the glossy grille. On the back it looks a bit off, im thinking its because the background is matte and not hollow like on the front
Matte – on the back blends well and looks sporty (I think it would look even better if the background was painted white) but on the front im not sure about the result on a less than sporty looking car
vinyl – specifically looking at the carbon fibre design but again I think it might look out of place on a non sports car and prob a bit too try hard in general lol
Thoughts? Anyone done away with the chrome bling on theirs?
