So after this dumbass 4WD hilux smashed into the quarter panel of my Jetta, I had it fixed. My insurance recommended "RMP" in Sunshine. I do not recommend to go to them for a Volkswagen. They welded on a new quarter panel just fine however when I got my car back, the boot wouldn't close properly (It would close every fifth time I tried to close it), there were random screws sitting in the backseat of the car, the car took an extra week than the "expected date". Along with this, every time I turned the car on there was a "Error Airbag!" and a yellow light would light up indicating that one of the airbag sensors was disconnected. The mechanic at RMP assured me that it was not a safety concern and that at the next service, Volkswagen would simply reset the computer and it would be gone. From my research, I had found that (older) Jetta models that had this issue would not deploy ANY airbags in the event of a car crash. I don't know how relevant it is for a '11 118TSI but it did worry me a slight bit.

In summary, don't go to RMP in Sunshine. They take three-four weeks to "fix" your car and they end up damaging it more than it is fixed. Stick to spot on panels or something, they give you a replacement car.
