Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    NSW DSG Tune

    I recently bought a 2015 mk7 golf R with APR stage 1 tune. I'm now considering going to Stage 2 and was told I need a DSG tune as well.
    I wonder if my car already has DSG Tune as I can see the gear number next to D when I'm in drive mode which I was told you only see if you have DSG Tune. Is this correct?

    Yeah stage 2 is too much torque and you need stronger clamping pressures. I'd go to the company that did the stage 1 if you can find out and see if it had the DSG tune done.
