New member here from Brisbane.
2012 Passat TDI, 90.000km just done in March and they applied the software update that turned the car into a bag of sxxx.
Having grown up in Hannover, Germany, literally 60km away from Wolfsburg, it was in my genes to love VWs. I even worked in the Hannover Factory where they built the T line, T4 at the time.
Being cheated on like this, by the brand that felt like family to me, really hurts.
Bought the Passat new in 2012, besides a new gearbox it did its job very well. Now, with the 23R7 update I am utterly disappointed what they do to the people that trusted the brand.
Hoping to get some more information out of this membership here. Registered with MB's class-action and also reported my experience to ACCC. At this stage I am looking into reversing the update somehow.
Issues are: Loss of Power/Torque, more than a liter more fuel consumption on a 100km and rough engine run. Car changes gears like crazy as well.
