  • (yes first post) I'm reaching best flash polo GTI

Hi all, yes first post as a newbie, I'm looking into a flash to flash my polo GTI 6r.
What is the best most reliable and safe type, I've been quoted $1500 for APR tune... Is this overly expensive?
And just came across Racechip at about $750

APR is far from cheap but being in Tasmania limits your choices.

Ferry to Melbourne and you could have a long weekend away and a cheaper tune.

Underground Performance for one, look up on facebook.

I assume as you have stated it's a 6R you have the 1.4 twin charger. But as some get confused between 6R between and 6C, if you have the 1.8t then ignore. I had the APR tune done (in Hobart to be exact) when on sale at $1250 on my my12.5 and it really didn't feel much better to be brutally honest. I now have a vrs octavia with RaceChip ultimate and although there different vehicles there is a noticeable difference in performance. The apr tune was around 20kw where as the racechip is 38kw. If I knew about race chip then I would have went that way as I also had trouble with warranty due to the tune.

It's a better option, cheaper, more power and you don't have to have the ecu cracked open.
If you don't like it you can sell it on or remove and sell when you sell the car.
