Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC Greetings Gentlemen!

    Hi everyone,

    I'm Maz from Melbourne.

My first car was a 1998 manual 1.8t passat, then I had a 2012 3.8 jeep wrangler for more than 3 years, got bored of it and the cheap plastic everywhere in the car, so I have come back to vw and bought a second hand 2009 black R36 Wagon. Really like the way it drives, and the bucket alcantara seat. Will probably keep it even if buying a new car.

I think the car is having some clutch problem as it doesn't engage reverse sometime and engine light comes on, and I'm here for some help

Chuck up some pics! One of the better looking wagons IMO.

I'm surprised the Jeep lasted you that long

        Hi Craig,
The jeep was bought brand new and had 3 years of warranty, the indicator lever is super glitchy and the fake metal ring on my gear knob fell off in a hot summer the first year I bought it. word of advice: Dont buy a Jeep.
