Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD Bora VR6 - 4 Motion

    Hi All,

    Just joined the forum as I've bought my first VeeDub. A 2001 Bora 4 Motion. Car is pretty good but I'm sure I'll need some advise from time to time (hence joining the forum).

    Looking to buy a set of Bora Sport wheels (5 spokes) so will be posting an ad soon.

    Welcome. Boras do not seem to be appreciated, particularly in the second hand market but they are still reasonably quick and comfortable and the all wheel drive can be a hoot from the traffic lights on a wet road when a high powered 2 wheel drive car tries to out accelerate you. My Bora is still going strong with well over 300,000k's on the clock. It's now being punted around by my son and sometimes his mother in law.

    2010 Jetta 125 tdi dsg for the misses - Impressed
    2006 Polo GTI - Enhanced by some of Gav's magic - Absolutely loving it
