Yep DSG isn't perfect, but if you watch a Youtube video or two about how they work, you get a lot more sympathetic, and can learn to make them do what you want a lot better by how you drive, so they can line up the next gear you actually want prior to a change. Starting and reversing, hill holds etc, well again, you gotta learn to work with that, but some of those can indeed be adjusted, especially hill hold, which screws up standing starts on stock settings. Easily modified with a Vag Com cable.
