Newbie from Canberra

Hi all,
I've been following this group for sometime, and thought it was about time I joined.

I'm awaiting delivery of my third brand new VW (more than any other make in my 30 years of car ownership!):
- 1996 Mk3 Golf GL (in unmissable metallic green) - traded in for 1999 Audi A3
- 2010 Mk6 Golf GTI 3dr - best car I've ever owned to date, and gave me 95000km of trouble-free and enjoyable motoring, but time for a new car so I've traded it in for...
- 2016 Passat B8 132TSI Comfortline Wagon with R-line and Luxury Packs, in Harvard Blue metallic - ordered in early Dec and requested a 2016 build, but thanks to VW's factory shutdown over Christmas and (I learned from the dealer today) the popularity of the new Alltrack, my car hasn't hit the production line yet, so I doubt I'll see it before April (groan!)

Hi, look forward to seeing your Passat around the traps in Canberra once it arrives.

We had to wait 3 months for the Caddy Life to arrive from Poland because we ordered ours with the colour tone bumpers and roof rails. It is worth the wait to get what you want.

Went through the same process with the GTI six years ago: ordered in late Nov 09 for a Jan 10 build, and I think it hit the production line in Week 2. Shipping and customs took a little longer than expected (can't remember the cause of the delays) and I took delivery in mid-April. But it certainly was worth the wait.
