Just bought an 08 Polo TDI for commuting to a new job (60min+ up from 5min/15 bike ride).
Coming from a 96 MX5 which I did all my own work on (servicing, timing belt, clutch, brakes, etc.) but planning to be a bit more hands off with this one as I just need something reliable to get me to work
The car needs LCA bushes soonish, so I'm trying to decide if that's worth doing as a DIY, but apart from that I don't plan on doing much to the car beyond perhaps some new wheels and maybe springs/struts if I want it to look a little lower
About me: 23 y/o electrical engineer from Brisbane, into cars, cycling (road/fixie), dabble in a bit of programming, gaming
