I am a pissed of owner of a 2011 118tsi golf.. my engine has now decided to die and needs replacing.. this is just the tip of warranty repairs and now it's close to $30k when I only paid $36k before add ons in 2012

Unfortunately you bough the worst engine VW make. So if this is a warranty job, seriously sell the car as soon as it is repaired and move on.
How many KM did you get ? Many of the mk5 jettas had engines done around 30k some on 2nd replacement at 50k.
Kinda sucks thou, cause when you sell you need to answer "yes" to "engine replacement", comes just after "have airbags been deployed".MK4 GTI - Sold
