  • New recently devalued VW owner

Proud owner of a slightly lower value Passat and Touareg 180 diesel. Thanks VW scandal! Still love the cars though.

welcome to the forums! Your touareg wont be affected, and have you checked if your passat is affected? via the VIN checker?

      Welcome to the Forums.

I haven't seen any significant devalue on carsales or gumtree.

      You should be fine.

You only lose if you sell

Any owners actually going to participate with the recall? Less fumes has to cost something... ie: less economy/power.
        I imagine it's a group-wide thing, if-not the competitors too.

Just did the check, and I'm affected
We regret to inform you that the Type EA 189 engine built into your vehicle with the Vehicle Identification Number >MyVIN#<, you submitted as at xx/yy/2015 xx:yy:zz PM is affected by software that causes discrepancies in the values for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) during laboratory testing. Your car is safe from a technical standpoint.
