Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 2011 Tiguan TDI

    Hey all,
im new here and im looking for brake and suspension upgrades for my 2011 Tiguan TDI can some one help me find some already existing threads that will cover this?

i'm a stickler for fine details so im not looking for the cheapest installation but one more practical for everyday city/hi-way driving. Kanagaroo's can be a problem and i would love it be able to stop a lot more efficiently.

i have researched Whiteline front sway bars but im sure i covered a thread where upon installation, their was fitment problems... is this true? does it still exist or have they fixed this problem?

    Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Use the forum search function or if you can't find the thing you're after then google search it with key words plus "site:vwwaterooled.com.au". I find this works pretty well.

I had issues with fitment of a Whiteline front sway bar, however I'm pretty sure they have fixed this issue as it was a few years ago.

You may find that just upgrading the brake fluid and pads is sufficient. Team_v tracks his Tiguan and I'm pretty sure that's all he's done with his car and doesn't have any issues with pulling up.
