Greetings from holland/question about rns510

Hello everyone,

My name is nick and i own a golf mk4 and a golf mk5. The mk4 is a petrol car, and the mk5 is a diesel one.
My hobbies are offcourse cars.

I don't know if is permitted, but i would actually like to ask a question already about an rns510 version C.


i bought a rns 510c europe version. I knew it had a boot problem but i could get it cheap. It keeps booting up and shutting down. I wanted to downgrade the system,but it doesn't allow me to put in a cd. I have rns manager, and tried to downgrade it with that,but it doesnt connect because the rns510 keeps shutting down an rebooting. Should i get a new dvd drive, or doesnt it work because of the firmware? Or is it possible to remove the hdd, format it so that it will accept a cd again?

The HDD doesnt accept the CD its the CD/DVD Drive that does that Sounds like it could have a major fault if it keeps shutting down Doesnt pay to buy stuff with faults unless you have a pretty good idea of whats wrong with it

i have to options i think
1 buy new cd drive
2 format hdd in the hope that the cd drive works
