Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Gday from Brisbane

    Hello.

    My name is Luke and I own a 2009 Polo GTI.

    I've been lurking these forums for a few years. I finally built up the courage to create an account so that I could ask some questions about potential upgrades to my Polo.

    ^_^

          After researching hot hatches for around 3 months I ended up going for the Polo GTI for 2 major reasons;
          1. The cost of a 2009 Golf GTI was about $10k more and
          2. After driving a Renault Clio I realised that German engineering is not a joke, it really makes a difference

          My opinion after owning the Polo for around 18 months is very clear. Value for money... With a simple APR stage 1 tune and some decent tires I get a lot of acceleration for under $18k.

          We now own a Golf Wagon TDI because my wife was jealous of my Pog's quality in workmanship.
