NSW Hello - Polo 6R aftermarket head unit question

Just a question (will post later in the Polo section).

Looking at getting a Polo 6R (used) with a RCD510 or RCD310 - can I swap it out for an aftermarket double DIN head unit?

Anyone done it before?

I want Satnav, but very few used Polos have the option.

Wanting a Apple Carplay unit, and yes I know I'll probably have to get a Double DIN Fascia Kit.
