Gday! I am in the market for one of these new cars! My driving is 90% highway/freeway ( I do 30000km+ per yr) & 10% country roads including some gravel. So? Scout 135 TDI sounds like the ticket. I do 400km round trips to work and hate having to refuel after each trip[emoji17]. I test drove an RS petrol though and loved the car, power and steering. However it won't get 2 round trips to work? And takes 98Ron$$$$. For the owners of either? Any recommendations? Cheers

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

You wont be sorry for the torque of the scout. A more comfortable drive too especially on less than freeway tarmac.
I drive a 130kw TDi Tiguan. Last cars were 103kw TDi Yeti, 125kw TDi Superb, 90kw TDi Octavia. I drive 60,000km per year including non-freeway country
roads. The 'all paw' Scout would be my pick hands down.
