VIC Xenon Retro fit to passat

Hi all, I've just purchased a new Passat wagon and it has the standard halogen headlights.
i want to change them to the xenons,
live called VW and they quoted $5300......
Is there any after market plug and play xenon headlights that will work without paying crazy prices.

Sounds about right to do a full install and be legal. New bumper with washers Level kit etc.

You can go the semi legal way by keeping the lights below a certain output level but then you have spent a lot of money and gained nothing.

Far better to buy some of the high output bulbs spoken about in the other thread on Xenons
