Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi Guys n Gals.

My name is Blue and I have bought myself a new old Golf (Pics to come.) She is a 2011 DSG Golf R with 75 xxx Ks. I have been viewing the forums for a while trying to find out as much info as possible. My car is currently stock but I am thinking of doing the following mods:

    Stage 1
    -Tarmac Engineering stage 2 package.
    -SPM Intercooler.
    -Diverter Valve
    -CTS Turbo throttle pipe.
    -CTS Turbo outlet pipe.
    -NSP Boost guage.
    -42dd Catch can.
($$$ ready to go, just umming and ahing on pulling the trigger.)

    Stage 2
    Enkei or Volk Rims.
    CF bonnet.
    Cat back exhaust.
    (Because **** money.)

The plan is to have it looking as stock as possible. I like sleeper cars, which is why I bought a rocket disguised as a sensible family car.

She has been serviced regularly at the local stealership and I made sure all fluids (and DSG fluids) were changed before purchase. Does anyone have any comments on current mod lists or on what I should look out for on a well used Golf R?

    Thanks all.

    Cheers,
    Blue.
