Current GTI V owner and just ordered GTI Mk7 manual in solid with and expecting delivery on Monday the 9th March.
I love my MkV but its time to move on, selected the manual this time after many years with the DSG and its drivability issues in traffic are a little jerky. i'm sure that the latest version is much better than the 6 speed fitted to the MkV.
the new Mk7 i hope is as fun to drive as the MkV but I somehow doubt this will be the case with all the extra added electronics that stop you having fun.
I'll update the GTI thread with comments about the driving experience between both cars.
