Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

New to the Vw world and love it,

Just purchased a 08 R36 and have to say.... why didn't i buy a VW years ago.
Probably going to be picking everyones brains every time i hear a random noise from it. Couldn't be happier with the car drives like its on rails and cruses even better.

Any advise anyone can offer would be appreciated and any other perth R36 owners hit me up.

    Cheers guys

I've had a couple of Beetles of my own and baby-sat a mate's who inherited his late 60's model from his dad and drove it back from Sydney to the SW of WA.
I've owned Beemer bikes forever and had a 2002 in the 90's.
I've had Kombis and a brief dalliance with an Audi back in the 80's.
I've just bought an Octavia rs diesel sedan for my wife and crikey jiminy charlie it's one helluva drive.
Took it for a spin in sports mode this arvo and my 1000 cc BMW bike would be having its neck strangled to keep up.
Gotta be the best value for dollar car in the country;especially second hand!!
