Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • My Polo Gti 2012 Horror Story

I brought my white Polo GTI 2 years ago and it has had sooo many problems.
I've had 5 clutch packs replaced on it during the last 2 years. I think the car spent more time going in and out of the VW dealerships than I have spent enjoying the ride. The DSG just keeps playing up. I'm so glad that I've sold my car. I'm now looking at getting something more reliable. Anybody have suggestion? Budget $30k....

Sorry to hear that the car was so unreliable. At least you didn't have any engine issues.

How about a 9N3 GTi? You'll have loads of leftover change to play with even if you get one that is late build and in mint condition
