Hello everyone.
I'm considering returning to the VW fold, after having owned 2 Golfs previously; Marks IV and V, both purchased new and both very enjoyable drives. The need for more room led me to stray to a Subaru Forester which is now approaching its use by date. (5 years and 135,000 km)
I am looking at the Golf wagon but am nervous about the DSG, which still seems to attract some adverse press.
I hasten to add that the MK V I had was a DG equipped diesel, which gave me no bother in 130,000 KM.

PS... have also owned 4 beetles and 2 air cooled busses. (wish I had never sold the 1600 L)
