I have owned a Golf 118TSI since 2011 and have generally been very happy with it. It is my second car and has done 16500Km since new. I have joined the thread because I need some information on a misfire and whether it can be fixed DIY.
I worked on many cars in my early years (my favourite was a 1968 Mini Cooper S) but for the past 20 years all service and repairs were covered as a work expense tax deduction. But since owning the Gold 118TSI the tax deductions have gone and I am looking to keep costs down.
I really like the Golf and will probably keep it until I retire in a few years.
In the meantime, my daily ride is an un-marked police car.
