Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi all,
I'm new to VW but now I've made the leap I'm hooked! I found this forum while googling for details and reviews on the 6R Polo before I made the decision to buy. And now I'm trawling the forum to find mods, upgrades and improvements - damn you internet!!
My wife and I upgraded from a BA XR6 Falcon to a MY14 6R Polo TDI (forgive me if the model designations are wrong, I'm still learning) and we love it. If we bank the fuel savings alone, we'll have enough cash to buy a small island within a year or so - the XR6 was thirsty! And since we got the Polo (his name is Ralph - long story) in June, we've already put 12000km on him, with (hopefully) many more to come.
I'm more of a lurker than a forum poster, so I'll just continue reading, learning and asking questions when I need to.
    Cheers
    Liam
