  • WA Scirocco owner signing up

    Hey guys.

Just checking out this forum for the first time. Moved to Perth WA from England a couple of years ago.....and brought my 2010 2.0 TDI Scirocco with me (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w0rg6l4b9...JWQ9I9BJa?dl=0).

Love life over here and loved bringing the car with me. Now, I know I'm not supposed to advertise here so I'm not going to but if anyone does want to chat about my car.....please just give me a shout!

Better get back to work now......I lecture in marketing at UWA.....and play a bit of football ('soccer').....and it's our work sports day! Good Friday.

Looking forward to doing a bit of digging on the forum to see what's going on.

    Cheers,
    Paul

Hey Paul, welcome to the forum. How did you go with bringing the car over? Was it hard work or relatively simple?

        Hey guys.

        Thanks.

Bringing the car over wasn't too bad really if you plan ahead and are willing to go without it for 8-10 weeks. Left it at a depot outside London totally cleared out including barely any fuel and then picked it up at a depot near Perth airport. Comes in to Fremantle but customs do their thing and then your shipping agent gives you a call to say it's ready. Work helped with costs but yeah tax isn't great.

You're right Gareth you can't get the diesel here, just the R. When I brought mine over you couldn't even get the R though so it got a lot of looks! Still does and only keen VW guys notice that it's not an R. Thinking of selling actually....

        Cheers,
        Paul
