Hi all.... I'm new here! Looking at buying a Mk V GTI for my kids to use but my 19yo son thinks Golfs are uncool.
Any suggestions?
(They are P plate legal in QLD with an exemption)
Oh man! I'm only 20 and would love a GTI if I could afford it myself let alone it be bought for me!
I'm going to have to agree with tigger. Make him save up for his own car that's the only way to truly appreciate it. P platers don't need a GTI anyway, will probably get himself into trouble. Or you could get him something really uncool. Maybe a nissan micra?
sit him inside the Golf and then park his butt inside the falcodore (or even an asian mobile of the same value, and then get him to compare the build quality, the quality of the seats, steering wheel dashboard plastics etc.

And does he still feel the Golf is uncool?
Send him up to Lakeside on Sunday morning. then see if he fancies a Polo?
Kids these days don't know they're born. I got a 50 quid Mini, which was spares or repair. Learnt all about welding and engine removal from that car.....
