  • Newbie Here and recent VW enthusiast, mainly in my 2011 GOLF R

Hello all. I've been searching this forum for a couple of months now and thought I should introduce myself.

I have recently purchased a 2011 Golf R and am looking at applying a stage 1 APR tune on the car in the next month.

I am eagerly researching this site for information.

    Good to be here!

    Regards,

    Nate

    Nice purchase.

You won't be disappointed with a stage 1 tune... the only thing you'll wish is that you got stage 2!!!!

Beware modding is addictive - you're starting down a slippery slope.

Forgot to mention.. I also own an '09 WRX (Now the other halves daily driver) which was my main hot hatch until the new Golf R. The Rex is good in its own rite, although after owning the R for a few months now I definitely prefer the R over the Rex in so many aspects. Previous to the '09 Rex I owned a '97 Rex which was my first taste at Turbo charged AWD 4 cylinder hot hatches.

        Nate.
