Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    So New that I don't even have the car yet!

    Hi everyone!

    Where do I start? Well I may have just put down an order on a new Mk VII Golf R and thought the next logical thing to do would be to sign up here! Living up in the merry ol' North Shore in Sydney (moved up from Melbourne a few years ago), it seems that I'll fit right in with my next car!

    Over the years, many a VW had tempted me but for various reasons I hadn't joined the fold... until (6 months from) now . Looking forward to becoming part of the landscape here and meeting many of you in the not too distant future

      North Shore Volkswagen, shopped around a bit and I think they were the nicest

      Can't really rate them just yet, they better take care of me!

        Which colour/trim combo did you go with? The golf gti performance pack in the showroom looked great in that dark grey colour!

          I'm dealing with Lavin. Manual Lapiz Blue with Driver Assist, Leather and Sunroof

          Yeah it definitely looked great!

              Ooh tough question. I did love the DSG but there's something about the manual that still draws me to it. I guess I still like the whole spectacle of changing gears myself. Plus it saves me $2,500 too
