Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Hi everybody

    Newbie here,
I've owned my mk4 gti 1.8t for almost a year now, and of course have been dreaming of all the amazing performance mods and wheels I would be buying if I had the money. I'm sort of getting to the point where it might happen. I'll be asking all the newbie questions about exhaust, intake, ecu flashes, maybe even fmic, lowering, wheels and probably a whole range of things. I'm also a member on vwgolf.net.au but was told that watercooled is better for older models of golfs.

So sorry in advance if I ask any questions that have been answered a million times and thank you for any advice you're able to give

    Cheers

      Welcome to the forums mate.
Hit up Gavin (user: h100vw) as he knows his way around the 1.8T's and their go fast bits.

Hope we can get you out to some of our events.
