Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    About time I know.....

    Hi All,

    I moved to Oz last year from the UK and bought a Mk1 Golf Cabriolet (barn find) in Jan this year. I had a lovely Mk2 GTI 16v in the UK but the cost of getting it here was just nuts. Anyway, I needed something else so hence the Cabby. It's work in progress but to get the RWC I need a set of wheels and standard nuts. That's why I thought I'd come on here to say hi and see if any of you good folks could help me?

    A cheap set of Seat wheels has just popped up on eBay not far from you.

    Ugly but legal.

    I've got literally buckets full of stock wheel bolts if you need 'em.
