The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • New guy reporting in from Perth !

    Hi guys,

I've just moved across from QLD to Perth. Decided to sell the Honda for a VW Polo GTI 9n. I would love to hear from those in Perth with a GTi. I'll be looking for APR, Forge and Milltek, so if anyone knows any good deals around for it do drop by and let me know.

    Thanks for having me here.

    welcome over from Qld.

you need to talk to Brian at Quattro Motors about APR, located at Burswood.

For Milltek, try Rob at VW / Audi / Seat / Skoda - Performance Tuning sales@tsr-performance.com

Thanks Gareth ! Appreciate the pointers. I've been doing some searches around and I have spoken to Quattro motors as well. The hard part is now getting a full exhaust as well as an intake.

I purchased my Milltek through TSR and then had Quattro fit them for me.

TSR will look aftier you freight-wise

To avoid duty/GST purchase it in two components, the cat-back and then the downpipes.

you will need to work out to avoid duty/GST if its cheaper to split your order and pay to lots of freight.

APR also do exhaust, so you will need to decide which one you prefer the sound of as well

Is the APR exhaust (very) pricey? I've also seen PsiTuning, seems to be offering the exhaust somewhere below the 1k mark, just enough to avoid duty, would that be another way of doing this?

Now would it be immature and impatient to be jumping from stock to stage 2? because I could be ordering the forge intake + exhaust at the same time yes?

I cant advise you on the specifics for a Polo, so do more research.

The Psi one is a catback or turboback?

$1k for a turboback must be made from tin foil

all the performance gains are from the downpipe, whereas a catback will just give you extra noise

Milltek Turbo-back exhaust inc Hi-Flow Sports Cat. At this stage of searching, this seems to be the most popular, aside from some builds around that are customs. I done a search and I think I'm going down the custom route. I think I'll be opening up a proper thread soon to not flood the introduction area. Thank you Gareth. This was a great start in the forum.
