G'day all, have been in the market for a new car for about a year. I don't rush into anything...
I have been driving mostly Japanese built vehicles and happy with the quality and ride but started to look for something a bit different. I narrowed my list down to the Mazda3 and the golf. I then drove a mates mk6 R and I was hooked and my budget blown. I drove the GTI late last year and loved it. The mk7 R was coming and thought this could be even better, so I waited. I read everything I could - these forums are brilliant.
I drove the R then another 2 GTI'S including the Performance Pack. There was no hands down winner. For me it was the best of a great bunch. I am now the stoked owner of a GTI PP and absolutely love it!!
