Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    New Mk6 GTi Owner

    Hi all,

    Just purchased a Mk6 GTi in Carbon Steel with DSG and loving it. Already been back to VW for the wastegate clip which seems to be a common problem.

    Happy with the car so far, but wouldn't mind getting a bit better quality out of the stereo with some upgraded speakers and amp if needed (would like to keep the stock head unit). If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
