  • NSW Potential Tiguan Owner

    Hi All -

We're looking to downsize from our current Pajero, to something a little more city-sized. Forester was the original plan, but seeing the running costs of the turbo XT model has caused us to look elsewhere.

A few people have mentioned that a TSI Tiguan with a tune can be quite a bit of fun. I was quite surprised to see that a manual (our preference), petrol (also our preference) model with <40,000kms can be had under $20K.

I've been scouring the threads quite a bit to see what people thing of the little Tigs and now have signed up so I can see the images and get a little bit of feedback on some questions.

    Cheers all!

    Hi Andres,

I know where you're coming from. I've just bought a 118TSI manual (picked it up 2 weeks ago) and it's great. VW have a new car deal on right now where you can pick one up for $27,990 (in QLD) drive-away before the end of June.
    MY08 Mk5 GT Sport - sold
    MY14 Tiguan 118TSI - sold (Mazda3 SP25GT in its place)
MY16 Golf 7R: sold (Caterham Super 7 and Hyundai i30N in its place)

I blame VWWatercooled... Started off looking at Tiguans, and now am picking up a 2012 Octavia vRS Wagon tomorrow.

Can't believe how many cars are based off (roughly) the same platform. And ironically, I have a illogical dislike of Golfs.
